Education Committee

Committee Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual calendar of social activities
  • Recruit and vet potential speakers through the Speakers’ Bureau
  • Assess existing program events and evaluate new program events for recommendation to full board
  • Establish general criteria about program topic selection, venue, food choices and marketing, with regard to impact, cost benefit and alignment with organization’s mission
  • Recommend and oversee major programmatic events, with major implementation efforts supported by the CED
  • Work with Finance Committee for input on annual budget, and adhere to budget and Fiscal Policy
  • Initiate and guide evaluations about programs

Social Committee

Committee Responsibilities

    • Assess existing social activities and evaluate new social activities for recommendation to full board
    • Establish general criteria with regard to impact, cost benefit and alignment with organization’s mission
    • Draft annual calendar of social activities, for approval by the board
    • Oversee new approved social events, with contract negotiations, budget and implementation efforts supported by the CED
    • Assist in determining individual social activity budgets, to help the Finance Committee prepare the next year’s budget
    • Initiate and guide evaluations about events
    • Facilitate discussions about social priorities for the organization
