Education Committee
Committee Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual calendar of social activities
- Recruit and vet potential speakers through the Speakers’ Bureau
- Assess existing program events and evaluate new program events for recommendation to full board
- Establish general criteria about program topic selection, venue, food choices and marketing, with regard to impact, cost benefit and alignment with organization’s mission
- Recommend and oversee major programmatic events, with major implementation efforts supported by the CED
- Work with Finance Committee for input on annual budget, and adhere to budget and Fiscal Policy
- Initiate and guide evaluations about programs
Social Committee
Committee Responsibilities
- Assess existing social activities and evaluate new social activities for recommendation to full board
- Establish general criteria with regard to impact, cost benefit and alignment with organization’s mission
- Draft annual calendar of social activities, for approval by the board
- Oversee new approved social events, with contract negotiations, budget and implementation efforts supported by the CED
- Assist in determining individual social activity budgets, to help the Finance Committee prepare the next year’s budget
- Initiate and guide evaluations about events
- Facilitate discussions about social priorities for the organization
